A solid, crystalline, colorless, stable, amphoteric and polymorphic material. It makes the environments in which it is dispersed more opaque and white.
This white pigment is widely used in the production of paints, paper, cosmetics, demarcation of tennis courts, and in the film industry (production of artificial snow).
Its applications include:
- Paints: Allows optimal calcination resistance balance and good optical properties, as well as high resistance against adverse weather conditions and heat.
- Plastics: Good resistance against adverse weather conditions and yellowness, since its dyeing power is just slightly diminished. It offers good dispensability to plasticizers and flexible vinyl.
- Paper: Used in paper products, it allows opacity, good whiteness and retains brilliance.
